Located in the historic village of Rodmell in Lewes, our small family run campsite consists of 8 pitches that have unrestricted views of Mount Caburn and the Sussex Downs. This campsite is part of a 42 aches Livery and Stud farm, so is ideal for nature lovers and horse enthusiasts. It is in a perfect location for hiking, cycling, horse riding or just a quiet family getaway. Located nearby our some great local pubs and many family attractions to keep you occupied.

We are a back to basics campsite providing standard grass pitches for tents and small camper vans. Whether you are first-timers or seasoned campers we are sure that you will find our campsite the perfect place to explore, not only the treasures and beauty of the immediate area but the wealth of attractions and things to do only a short distance away.

Horse Livery Yard
We are a fun and friendly stud farm and horse livery yard providing flexible livery services to cater for you and your horse. We can offer campers who wish to take their horse on holiday with them a space in our stables so then can ride the South Downs Way. Please note we do not supply any of our own horses to campsite residences and we do not provide riding lessons.

Rural Camping
Our campsite is a new rural development and purposefully basic, as we want to provide a real back to basics camping. The emphasis here is on peace and quiet. We want to get campers back to old school camping at its best. We are a small campsite designed for tents and small camper vans only. Sorry, we do not provide electric hook-ups or accept Motorhomes or caravans.

IGNITE THE LIGHT
Campfires
Campfires are all part of the fun when camping and we allow campfires on site. Firepits can be hired on-site and log bundles can be purchased for burning. Just imagine savouring your favourite tipple whilst toasting marshmallows on the campfire with the kids spending quality time together as you gaze up into the clear night sky filled with stars.

Important Notice – Covid-19 Update
Our facilities are basic but we do offer a toilet however there are no shower facilities at present (mainly due to Covid-19 infection risk restrictions) but we will return them for the 2021 season.
The emphasis here on our quaint campsite is on peace and quiet and getting back to basics.
